It has been an odd week - busy in some ways but nothing much going on if you know what I mean - Caitlin and I did manage to contact Kate and Mireille and Kieran ( Kate's lovely little boy ) on the Wii via Animal Crossing it was great fun but we so need a Wii speak - we had to type all our replies and it was a bit hard but Caitlin loved it .
It was so cold this week that I brought Rachel some gloves to keep her little mitts warm, she was so funny she kept staring at them all the way home and hasn't taken them off all week.

She loves that they are pink and fluffy and they sure came in handy today - but more on that later .

I am still finding it hard to be creative but I manage to make this for Valentine's day - actually Caitlin wants it, I actually used an idea from her art book so maybe she should have it.

Finally today after a week of unnatural sunshine, considering the rest of the country, we finally got the snow that everyone else seem to have got. It came down in a couple of hours - thick and fast and the place was covered in it when we woke up.

The kids and I headed straight outside to make snow angels and make snowmen.

The kids roll the biggest snowball - so big that tall Rebecca was able to sit on it with her legs of the ground.

I am not sure if you can tell from this picture but Becca has had a haircut - she naturally won't let me take a picture of the haircut ( typical teenager ) but I manage to get a shot today - thanks to a zoom lens and patience - it suits her although I admit I hated the idea at first, I loved her long hair.

Rachel loved the snow - she kept running around and saying "I got you ! " while throwing snowballs at everyone, it was ages until she would come it she didn't seem to feel the cold.

We built our first proper snowman - the kids had never built one and as the last "big snow" I remember was the Christmas before Becca was born that is not surprising. So Jennie and I had to teach them the ropes.

She might be classed as a snow woman actually as she is wearing all pink and girlie stuff .

This afternoon I finally got my albums sorted - it actually took two days and half way though I was wondering if it was all worth it to be honest.
But it needed doing - firstly I can say that I will never buy a post bound album again, they are a pain in the bum to organised.
I have 3 ring bound albums now and they are a godsend and I can tell you that We R Memory Keepers refills fit into the Making Memories albums perfectly and they come in pack of 25 not 10 and are amazing quality, I found this out totally by accident I might add.
I have my albums sorted in the Big Picture style - thank you Stacy Julian :) with my own twist of course . I have now got 4 family albums, the first contains the following 3 sections - Our family, Sisters ( for the girls relationship) and Generations - for Granny and Grandpop and Aunties and Uncles, Cousins and the Greats - Nana and Winnie :)
The second album has Me, CJ and our relationship, Friends and Pets, and the third and forth has Caitlin and Beccas's admittedly Caitlin's is actually now two albums, they are pink of course and I really have to scrap others more.

Then there is an album called "Things we do" all about hobbies and stuff it has no sections yet but I might sort them someday and there is one called "Places we go" which has a "Near" section for home and it's surroundings and "Far" section for holidays.
I have a School Days album for all those school related layouts, one called "Just because" which is where all those layouts that have no other place to be live.
And last bit not least the "Celebrations " album which has Christmas, Holidays , Birthdays and Weddings.

I also took both of Jennie's albums so I could fill them to - I did Rachel's 1st year -it is finally finished all layouts from her first picture to her first birthday. And all her holiday layouts and the like in the other album.

I can tell you it was quite an undertaking and it is not for the fainthearted but I think it was worth it - all the albums have space to fit more in and I don't have to worry about them being in chronological order, the albums make sense as they are now.
I would love to have all ring bound albums and I will eventually and I desperately need to get more Heidi Swapp plastic labels holders ( they came with the Costco kit I think and I have used all the ones I have so if anyone knows where to get them let me know) I was using them to separate the categories and ran out at the Things we do album which is why it is not sorted into sections.
I share this info with you about the albums because I always wonder how everyone organises their's mainly because mine where chaotic and twirly before I did this. If you haven't read the Big Picture by Stacy Julian I highly recommend it it really is a revelation.
